Big Big Disgrace On-Line Remix Competition

Ever wanted to remix a track, but either don't have the experience or equipment? Well here is your opportunity to remix the forthcoming single "Big Big Disgrace" and the good news is all you need to take part is an Internet Browser!

The competition runs until 21th August at midday London time. After this date, Glideascope will listen to the mixes and decide on the overall winners.

The prizes for the winners are the following:

Big Big Disgrace - Update

The single 'Big Big Disgrace' will be released in the next couple of weeks, featuring MC Junior Ruff, Hannah Cleone and the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra with remixes by Daz-I-Kue of Bugz in The Attic, DJ Parker (Grand Central) and the reggae veterans Mafia & Fluxy - in the meantime check out the video promo below:

'Big Big Disgrace' is currently number 10 in the Channel U video charts, you can vote to see the video with code 023 to number 81700.

The video has been doing well online and has reached number 2 on the Video-C dance charts and number 5 on the overall Video-C charts! This is the premiere online video chart, with artists such as Shakira, Justin Timberlake, James Morrison also featured in the top 10 - so your votes are well appreciated.

Glideascope is the headlining act at the Truth or Dare fashion and music show taking place at : Cafe De Paris, 4 Coventry Street, London W1V 7FL Tel: 0207 7734 7700

Glideascope will be performing a full 50 minutes set with his live band in the main room with his laptop symphony, violin, viola, cello, percussion, grand piano, saxophone, flute, harp, female vocalist, Junior Ruff MC, turntablist and VJ!

Winter Music Conference 2006 pt I

Glideascope has been selected as one of the featured artists for this year's Winter Music Conference in Miami. Appearing on the official compilation CD with the track "Istanbul" which will feature on his forthcoming album.

The Winter Music Conference, (March 24-28 2006, Miami) - in its 21st year, is regarded as the singular networking event in the dance music industry, attracting professionals from over 60 different countries. With its high concentration of top international artists, DJs and industry professionals, WMC permeates the international press and is thereby one of the most publicised events in the business. The compilation CD will be distributed to all conference delegates.

This is the 2nd year that Glideascope appears on the coveted WMC compilation CD, after featuring last year with the track "Big Big Disgrace".

Cannes Festival - MIDEM 2006

On the evening of January 24 2006, I played at the Hotel Martinez, Cannes, France with my live band at the MIDEM Buzz Bands 2006 event. MIDEM 2006 is the 40th anniversary of the world's largest music conference. No other event can boast a potential audience of almost 10,000 music professionals and is seen as the launch pad for artists such as Elton John, Nina Simone, Tom Jones, Simply Red, and more recently Katie Melua. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase my material to the music industry who were represented by delegates from almost 100 countries.

Glideascope was the only British artist selected to appear out of the new talent selected globally from over 25 countries, the other 7 were Anat Damon (Israel), Aronas (Australia), Beat Assailant (France), Dope Poet Society (Canada), Karlex (France), Selasee (USA) and The Spectaculars (USA). To be selected by MIDEM to appear at this event has been the highlight of my music career to date.

I wasn't sure how my mix of live classical, world influences and contemporary downtempo beats would fare with an industry crowd, but in terms of audience appreciation and feedback it was a resounding success!
